This is the world's most over-engineering bike storage setup, but in my defense it was pretty tough to make it work in a Wrangler.
I can carry two bikes for day trips, one bike with a sleeping platform for long trips, and zero bikes when my kitty needs all the litter from Costco. The whole thing can be torn down with the multi-tool you carry on your bike in a handful of minutes. The frustrating thing about projects like this is that you start getting really good at what you're doing right about the time you finish, never to do it again.
All ready for another covid summer of disappearing into the backcountry for weeks at a time. Look for me in the Rockys. I'll be the guy with the BBQ who lives there now.
