Fan Stops During Navigation

I noticed today when I am using google maps through carplay, my fan either stops or slows when it is giving directions. Does anyone know if there is a way to turn this off?

I've noticed this in other vehicles too. They do it so you can hear the directions because of how load the fan is. But I've noticed that in SOME vehicles, turning off Auto on your climate control has stopped this.

Now that I think about it, I'm pretty sure my 16 Silverado does it too, but I never use AUTO. Now I'll have to check when I get home.
