Jeep humor waiting room ( ** NO POLITICS ** )

Yesterday was bad after hockey, stomach part of flu kicked in, but pretty good today except throat.
Felt ok enough yesterday to give a friend a lift to pick up his new Tacoma, and was amazed at how little the dealer knew about it while doing the walk-through, and my having to fill in the blanks for my friend, the whole time sounding like my great aunt after her daily pack of darts. Then driving back to the city we chatted about his planned upgrades and his driving experiences for the first 100km, so voice is still shot.

Today, I just went into the park to check on some races (just letting the crew do it and me watch and listen on radio).

Now watching the end of the Bruins game beating Ottawa, and then gonna make some Jamaican Jerk Chicken with Peas & Rice (like my college roomate’s mama used to make) before the GF & I sit down to watch SNL.

So definitely improving on all fronts.

Yeah, just painfully tragic.

Heard about that last night on the way home from my friend’s place. Driving in the south the blowing snow was terrible yesterday (very little fresh snow but lots blowing across the fields), so wondered if they had similar conditions in SK.

That intersection seems poorly marked, and I get the feeling that conditions didn’t help the matter.

Just terrible for all the families involved.

Was impressed by all the outpouring from all over, especially from our neighbours to the south.

I think we all know, but for the grace of wahtever/whomever or sheer luck we could be in a similar situation with our loved ones.

BTW @LydiaSP613 , if you get a chance, watch The Graham Norton show (on BBC) from yesterday, we just watched it last night and it was pretty funny with Emily Blunt, John Krazinski, Kylie Minouge, and Tom Holland. It was pretty funny... as usual really.

Yeah, I score the chicken breasts and marinate them in jerk spice all day in the fridge, then sauté them in jerk sauce adding more as they cook, then pour the caramelized reduced sauce ontop of the chicken and rice. So awesomely super-concentrated spicy and equally tasty most importantly.

The GF can’t even stand to be in the kitchen while I make it because it stings her eyes, let alone her nostrils.

I do her chicken first so it’s not as concentrated, and then mine gets her conentrate as well, and I pour her sauce on the side. She loves it, just not as insane as me.

When our friends come over in the summer, I make Normal and Guest versions they can pick from the warming plate, it separates the amateurs from the pros. Goes great with Royal Jamaican Ginger Beer too, or Crabbies (even Orange or Raspberry) if RJ is out of season.
