So does this allow Sport S wranglers to swap out halogens and get LEDs with DRLs?

The sport fender lights are not the same size as the rubicon/Sahara fender lights. The rubi/Sahara halogen and led lights are interchangeable however.

I’ve been trying to replace my halogen ones with LED OEM on my JLU Sahara. Taking the fender liner was simple and I confirmed led light properly recognized by car( no error codes, or hyper flashing). Problem I’m running through is removing the cover behind the halogen lights. I’ve removed the plastic screw on the bottom and a bolt on the right but I can’t get the cover to come off. Am I missing something? Changing these with Florida heat sucks lol

looks im the black sheep in the family. i purchased some rubi fenders that came with led lights. i was told they were halogen, which is what i want. im not wanting to go and swap all the lights out to led now. halogen are fine with me. and now i have a fender pulled off and am contemplating putting it on without a functional led light for now. need my fenders for wheeling tomorrow.

should have bought a damn rubicon :computerrage:

It is dual filament. The sports have 3 wires, a white/green, white/brown, and black. White/green is for the turn lamp, white/brown is for the parking lamp, and black is ground. The other trims have a 4th wire (white/yellow), which supplies power for the DRL.

Hey everyone I have question on this, just did a new 2020 Jeep JL sport s build and they now have the option to upgrade to led headlights/fog lights/tail lights but no led turn signals. I have upgraded to the tow package and it states (upgraded to 4 and 7 pin wiring harness) does that mean if you upgrade to the high line fenders with leds it will work and also the DRLS? Take a look at the build option here photo I uploaded!

4 and 7 pin harness refers to the trailer electrical connector

FCA does not support the LED fenders on the 2018 Sport S. I don't know if that has changed with the newer model. Electrically, it was plug and play to replace the halogen fenders with the rubicon fenders. Jeep will not give the dealer the code to enable the LED fenders in the computer. The Tazer JL with the 1.4.1 and newer firmware release will make the LED fenders work, and they will work as DRLs as well.
It can be done, but Jeep doesn't support it.

Thankyou I will check the wiring to see if it is 4 wire harness instead of the 3. I will keep everyone posted as well, will I still need to get it flashed if the wiring harness is the same ?

You will need to flash the computer so that it knows the LED lights are there. From what I understand, the system detects the lower power draw of the LEDs and will trigger a failure if it is not set. Setting the system for the LED indicators sets this power draw level alert to the correct setting for the LED lights.

Here is what the end of the actual harness should look like. And just for good measure a photo of what I think is a partial part number for the OEM harness. (MOPAR uses 8 digits and 2 letters for their parts.)

Outstanding. Do you happen to have the pn for this part?

Any updates on the part numbers for the wiring harnesses to the fender LED assemblies?

I got a couple that were cut, so just hoping to not have to splice on my own to get them to connect to my Sport S.
