So, ive installed factory LED lights and as everyone else had issues with them working. The dealer was able to program the headlights, but turn signals wouldnt work properly.
I did a quick search, which brought me to this site and someone said to get a tazer. I did a quick search for this device and it brought me to extreme terrain website. On the website in item description, it say that it will enable led turn signanls, but i figured id call to confirm and also inquire about other features of this device.
First guy on the line had 0 idea what i was talking about and didnt even know what tazer is and its capabilities (this was phone option to place the order). Ive asked him a few times to transfer me to someone that perhaps knows it something about it. So he transfers me to their tuning shop.
I explained to the guy at the tuning shop what my dilemma is. He said that no, tazer cant program the turn signals. He further said that if they dont work properly it has nothing to do with programming, and it has everything to do with wiring/wrong turn signals (i told him multiple times that these were bought from jeep parts/factory). I then proceeded to read to him description of the tazer that is given on their website and the line where it says that it can program led turns, to which he said that no it cant do that. If led’s are not working right, it has nothing to do with programming. Then he said i need additional device to put in the line... ive explained that its plug and play with factory wiring, but he is insistent that it wont work. Then he also said that different production dates of JL either came with led package or they didnt... so then ive asked him if he ever installed led’s on wrangler and he said he did many. Then ive asked him if he ever installed factory led’s on JL and he said no.
Since ive contacted another company that says the tzer will do what i need to get done, but the convo with extreme terrain left me baffled and made me want to register on this forum to vent... where is the company owner looking? Multiple times ive pointed employees that it should work, but they were adamant/insistent that tazor will not code leds and further more rhat something is wrong with my set up...
Am i crazy or is this company known for this type of stuff?
