Anyone have experience with the ARB rock sliders they can share? All I can find on here is the post from @74bronco_nomore asking about the gap, which I don't mind.

@JurassicJeep12 how are you liking yours?

My Jeep will certainly see some trail use. It seems like even most/all of the frame-mounted sliders still have a few reports of getting pushed into the body. I like the ARB uses the 3 body bolts on each side plus the body-mounted plate. As much as I don't like the idea of drilling all those new holes in the side of the body, I know it will certainly strengthen the system. I also like that the body plate doesn't allow rocks to get trapped between the body and rock rail like the factory Rubicon sliders and many aftermarket ones (I'm always picking small pebbles out of this joint with a dental tool to prevent them from rubbing holes in the paint).

Thanks for any info/experience!

No experience with the ARB rock sliders but I had a very similar design on my JK and loved them. They keep rocks away from the side and didn't hurt my underside clearance. I checked pricing on the ARB parts and was a bit surprised the price was pretty reasonable. I do have a bit of experience with the integrit powder coat. I found it incredibly durable on my JK bumper.

Timely reply! I'm in the middle of install right now. Passenger side done, driver's side about to drill out 10mm body holes. Nerve wracking at 13 body holes & nutzerts per side! Seem very stout.

Keep stock Rubicon rocker clearance but step/top height is a little above the height of the stocker. Also more of a boat-side design that wraps fully under the body seam and attaches at all 3 body mounts.

There is a slight gap at the body-plate to step joint as pointed about in another thread. This doesn't bother me as it will allow mud & water to more easily drain through there. Another benefit is the underside is open and sloped to hopefully promote self drainage behind the step.

I'll try to upload photos tomorrow.

Got caught up in trips and the other life BS. Attached are some photos of the install on June 10th. I like the set-up. Each side weighs ~55lbs. The body plate attaches with 13 nutzerts/bolts, then the actual rail attaches to that with 8 bolts along the top and the 3 body bolts under. Install is a bit tedious taking everything on and off a couple times, but in the end it all lined up and I'm happy with the look and feel. Haven't hit any rocks yet, but I'm pretty confident these will be stronger than the factory rails at the very least. They have a nice step size, and the way they trap little stones and bits of mud does not contact vehicle paint, so that is another upgrade over the factory rails.

Bolted on with body bolts to mark up rocker holes to drill. Taped up the side of the Jeep with blue painters tape to keep from scratching the paint.

RTV added to each of the threaded nutzerts. I bought a cheap-ish installation tool online. I'd recommend one for the number of these you have to do.

Thanks for the pictures and the install photos. They look great and the step is bigger than I thought.

Looks great. Do you have any wider shots of the entire Jeep not covered in mud? I am on the fence on if I like the “stepped” underside of these sliders but there are very few shots of them that aren’t close ups. Thanks in advance!

Will get some tomorrow. I don't really notice the stepped underside while walking to the Jeep or looking from a distance.

Nice Trailer !! Opus?

Did you need to remove the body bolts to install the ARB sliders?

I did have to remove the body bolts. Absolutely no issues. Almost seems like the fronts at least had been off when the dealer repaired my leaking timing chain cover.

Trailer is a Rockwood A122 ESP (A-frame, similar to the A-Liners). Picked it up in May. Works well enough for now, but certainly no off-road specialist like an Opus, Black Series, or some of the teardrops we've been looking at. Though also was lightly used locally and available without the 12-24 month waiting list of some others we'd prefer...

How these ARB Sisters holding up for you? I’m looking at them for my Jeep but there is very little reviews on them still.
