WOW WOW WOW! I am absolutely floored at the improvement and ride quality! I drove down a section of road that my extremely worn Goodyears felt like riding in a big rig. These tires felt like I was in a brand new vehicle again! Night and day difference!

I did have one little issue at Costco that they said they could not mount and install the tires with me running wheel spacers. then they told me that if I let them remove the wheel spacers that they could mount everything up and I would just have to put the wheel spacers on myself at home. I said great do it! I’m gonna flex it out like this just to see what it looks like but I am 99% sure I need the spacers back on. I’m run stock wheels still.. Pictures below.. If you see something a little off it’s because the rear wheels have vinyl overlays on them that I’m trying to decide if I wanna run with those or take them off?

I am shocked they installed that size tire on the stock rims. Hey, but they did and it looks killer.

What backspace were you using with the 39s and stock axles? I’m in the planning phases of my build and am wondering if 4.5” BS is enough for a 3.5” lift and 39s. I understand I’ll need fender liners and a pinch weld trim. Trying to avoid 3.5” BS wheels to make it easier on the steering components.
My backspacing is 4.94 with a -18 offset 17" x 9.5" wheel.

Here’s mine not quite fully articulated, stock 7 1/2 inch wheels with 1.5” wheel spacers. Stock wheels are 6 inches in and 1 1/2 inch out, but the back spacing is more than 6 inches probably around 6 1/2. So I should be at roughly 5 inch backspace. the passenger side rear does rub on the plastic module (fuel tank vapor module?) in the upper rear wheel well. So 4.5” is probably the minimum? 4” would be even better. I also like the minimum offset, so ima see if I can move the module? Also, I’m trying my hardest to not buy new wheels, and no way am I putting on 2” wheel spacers.

Thanks fellas. I really like the Dirty Life DT-1s and the ones I’m looking at are 17x9, -12 offset and 4.53” BS. Trying to do my homework ahead of time so I can minimize unexpected fitment/rubbing issues

Have you considered 1.75” wheel spacers? Have a pic from front and rear with the 1.5” spacers? I have the same JLUR and just got the KM3s in 39. Just torn between 1.5” and 1.75” spacers. I got the Spidertrax 1.75s but not sure if they’ll be too much. Wondering if I could get away with 1.5s. I’m not doing crazy off roading. Appreciate it. Thanks.

I’d recommend 1.75 over the 1.5’s. Honestly, 2” would be the best size to use with the stock wheels, but I personally wouldn’t run that much spacer.

Thank you for the response. Appreciate it. Got the 1.75s from SpiderTrax. Doing the 39 KM3 on stock Rubi wheels. Fingers crossed.

You’re probably gonna want a fender chop kit. Or at the very least you’ll want to remove your inner fenders. They rub everything.

Looks great! Could you post more pics when you get a chance? I'm planning on switching from the KM3 37s to these 39s on the same wheels you have.

I haven’t bothered to take any really good photos, but here’s a few. The smaller tires next to the 39’s are 37” KO2’s.

I want these so bad but they look like they’ll take too much work to fit!

It really wasn’t that much work. So far I’ve trimmed the rear fender liners and that solved about 90% of the rubbing. But I have a set of Artec liners I need to replace them with, which should solve the rest of the problems. In the grand scheme of things, the liners are way cheaper than the lift and tires.

I’m on 4.63” backspacing with I think 3” bumpstop on 3.5” lift. Once I shakedown I’ll post back if I have clearance issues. Steering on the street is a non issue.
