There was another post about loose fuses. Loose is good for somethings.:ontheloo::whew: Not electrical connections. I found many not fully seated fuses. Fully seated is better:)

According to this, the power steering fuse is also the stability control fuse, and is F34:

Unless the Jeep's fuses were loose to the point of falling out, I really would not compare them to a jumper cable resting on a battery terminal. Chances are, after hitting some potholes and bumps, the fuses can be "clicked" in again...but under no circumstances should they be loose enough to the point where they aren't making electrical contact inside the fuse slots. There's no middle ground with fuses...they're either in and work, or they're not in and don't work. Fuses don't "kind of" work.
My analogy was a bit extreme to how lose my fuse were yes, but how long or in what circumstances would it take for them to reach that point. Yes, a FUSE will either work or not work, that is it’s purpose. However if the connection yields intermittent due to being loose, we’re no longer talking about the fuse itself. We’re talking about an electrical connection. Fuses only protect with over current. Under current or no current won’t blow a fuse unless it somehow creates heat.

Bottom line - it only takes a minute to do this, and the fuses should be seated properly. Some people have claimed that it cleared up all their issues, while many have not seen a difference. But it's an easy, simple thing to do before having a dealer try to troubleshoot intermittent issues ;)

Short story, purchased my (used 16k miles) Rubicon 2 door (2.0 auto) and it had:
1. All the typical steering issues mentioned here: inches of play, tracking issues etc.
2. I was getting 14ish mpg and the idle was not as smooth as the other new ones I test drove.
3. Both symptoms seem to have a bit of variation each time I got behind the wheel. inconsistent driving experiences.
THE FIX!
90% of my fuses and relays in the fuse box were NOT seated. I got hard clicks with every one that wasn’t seated.
I hand pressed the relays and used a large flat head for better articulation to seat all the small fuses.
THE RESULT!
1.Tracks straight, steering is 80-90% improved.
2. The Engine smoothed out, more pep, MPG’s rose to 18 (heavy foot)

I have no data other than my own experience but by all means, try this before replacing suspension components or playing games with the service dept.
I am scheduled for the V41 next week so none of this is with the new stabilizer.
Hope this first post helps someone
Pics please

posted in another thread..

As an experiment, I was able to take home (overnight only) a Stock 2020 3.6L JLUR that I found had the wandering and steering issues and the steering wheel was not centered at speeds. I did not tell the sales person about it.

It did have the latest V41 recall applied.
Tires were at 46PSI, dropped to 36PSI

In my garage, I disconnected both negative terminals on the battery.
Put a piece of tape dead center on the steering wheel and adjusted the drag link coupler clockwise and counter clockwise until I saw my steering wheel was centered.

Re connect the negative battery terminals, cranked up and moved the steering wheel hard right until lock, hard left until lock and back to center.

Took it for a test drive at 65 and low and behold it drives straight, steering wheel is centered, no wandering at all.

You still may have to make small adjustments to the drag link coupler to get your steering wheel to be straight at speeds.

I have a brand new aftermarket Steering stabilizer that I swapped with the v41 recall one just to see if that made any changes.

None were found.

Put the OEM one back on and took it back to dealer and stated drives real nice but I am still looking around for the best deal.

I hope I did a favor to the person who will purchase this JLUR.

Both my 2018's had this issue after all recalls were done but steering wheel still was off not centered.

Applied this to both, test drove stock to make sure, then added Mopar lift and tires and only had to adjust the drag link again.

Does pulling the negative cables reset the electric assisted steering, adjusting the drag link somehow changes the 0 reference point and now it knows the new 0 reference point for steering assist?

Ran into my neighbor’s in-law tonight being Halloween and he was sporting a late 2019 Rubicon. I asked to check his fuses and interesting enough only about <10% fuses were not properly seated. He had no steering issues at higher speeds or any other electrical quirks. I’m just throwing this out for reference for whatever significance it may or may not have.

look under the fuse cover for the exact list of fuses and location if you lay the cover next to the fuse block.
