I don't hear it as much from inside unless in my garage.

But I have now seen people suddenly turn around with a WTF is that look on their face. Then another WFT look that's it's a jeep. I just wish is sounded more like a Fisker.

Irritating or not, well worth not killing someone.

It's already out that it can be unplugged. But I don't want to kill anyone, anyone's pets, my pets, or wild animals.

I loved the way the old Fisker Karmas sounded. They sounded like a jet aircraft taxying, but oddly quiet. If one came up behind you it made you turn around to see WTF it was.

I still can't hear it, all windows down, quiet neighborhood, umm, maybe it's just blending in the normal EV sounds [to my ears].

What would be interesting would be the ability to change the sound instead of turning it off.

I can hear it with top off and windows down. It is subtle though.

Techy question...is the Pedestrian Alert sound generated at the "speaker", e.g. voltage applied to a module like a car horn, or could it be a module/computer playing a WAV/MP3 (or similar) then output to actual speakers?

The electric motor is ahead of the transmission. It replaces the torque converter so it allows the transmission to shift like it was powered by the engine. I really don't notice the alert system on mine. Or perhaps it's not too annoying.

I was just wondering the same thing. Doing a bit of reading up on 4xe's. Can we change the sound? I've got... ideas :CWL:

It might be easier to just install a PA System with an aux in port. I did just that, copied the audio files to my phone, and created a sound board to play them. It's fun to play "Move, B¡tch, Get Out The Way" when you have a pokey person in front of you. 😁
