FCA has released details and photos for the European market JL Wrangler, launching in September.
SUMMARY:
Engines / Transmission:
Two all-new engines:
- 2.0L turbo four-cylinder petrol engine (268hp / 295 lb-ft) (272PS / 400Nm)
- 2.2L Multijet II turbo four-cylinder diesel engine (197hp / 331lb-ft) (200PS / 450Nm). 0-62mph (100kmh) in 9.6 seconds for Sahara model
All powertrains come with eight-speed automatic transmission as standard. ESS standard on all powertrains.
Models / Trims / Overland Pack:
Three trim levels: Sport, Sahara and Rubicon. All available in both two- and four-door. Sahara models can be specified with optional Overland pack. Overland pack adds unique 18-inch aluminum wheels, body color grille with bright accents and headlight bezels, body-colored spare tire cover and a leather interior, among other touches.
Transmission / Axles:
Sport and Sahara: Command-Track AWD
Rubicon: Rock-Track AWD, heavy-duty Dana 44 axles, Tru-Lok electric front- and rear-axle lockers, added articulation and a longer suspension travel with the kind help of an electronic sway-bar disconnect.
Tops:
Three top options: Sky One-Touch auto retracting soft-top, Zipperless premium Sunrider soft top, Freedom Top.
Instruments / Uconnect:
3.5-inch or 7-inch digital instrument cluster. 7-inch LED instrument display is standard on the Sahara and Rubicon models.
7.0-inch or an available 8.4-inch touchscreen center console Uconnect screen (both with Android Auto and Apple Car Play connectivity).
Safety Systems:
Blind-Spot monitoring with Rear Cross Path detection, ParkView rear backup camera with dynamic grid lines, electronic stability control (ESC) with electronic roll mitigation and four standard air bags.
Availability:
Available in Jeep showrooms across Europe beginning in September 2018. In specific countries outside Europe (Russia and the Middle East), first units of the all-new Wrangler will be available starting from July.
