ESS crapped out - is my winch right

What would you say if they come with crap like "the winch drained your battery".
I agree, they cant prove anything and I wired things correctly. If it was my fault Id own it. I hope the dealer owns the warranty. Theyd been good to me with other warranty issues I had with the Jeep, so it should be ok.

An amp clamp on the winch wiring would prove whether or not the winch was causing a draw.
Worst case scenario however is that they dispute the battery being under warranty, as the battery itself has a 1 year warranty. It is covered by the factory 3 year however, and should not cost you anything.

My aux battery failed along with a fuse array. I have aftermarket lights hooked up to 3 aux switches plus a winch. I was concerned that the dealer would give me a hard time but they fixed everything without any problem.

Not how i charge my batteries, i look under the lid of the fuse box and charge both at the distribution panel on fuse box labled N1 to N6 Also firmly seat every fuse and relay. If your finger doesnt hurt you didnt do it right! Once you feel one seat you do all. Even the very large relays. Day 1 of 2021 sahara all fuses seated an audible click.

Then test voltage on each battery w digital meter from harbor. See my other posts for pictures.

Took it to dealer (jeep dealer at glendale,ca). Aux battery was gone. Jeep has 13k miles and it is one year and a half old.

They replaced the battery under warranty. They didnt care about the winch.

The ESS on my new 80th only works occasionally. I have the same problem with the back-up camera park assist lines. Some days they show up, but mostly they don't. Took it to the dealer today to check out both issues and they called to say, "Both working normally." I pick it up and both are still defective.

Yeap thats what happened to me. "no issues found". 3 months later I had to jump the jeep.

I'm about to contact FCA to get a case number. I don't know what else to do at this point.

Jump start the jeep. My jeep had battery issues since the first week I owned it. Dealer kept saying it was fine.

Pull the battery, take it to the dealer, ask them to give you a new one.

I did. I got a new one. eventually it crapped out.
