I posted this in Tazer area a while back, but noone chimed in...
I'm running 11.2.7 firmware on the Tazer. I was very happy with this update that fixed audio issues on the 7" UConnect when using the TurnCam. I'm not sure if this is a Tazer issue or not though. My EQ settings will go to stock (all Flat) and I can't seem to find a common cause. It will sometimes go a week without reverting and other times I've had it do it 3 times in a single daytrip to the lake upon each restart along the gas/food stops on the way. Couldn't find much with Google-fu, but saw on an old JK forum someone post "if the radio is not recognized by the BCM, the radio will default to a flat EQ curve". Wondering if anyone else has had issues with EQ going flat. I have the upgraded Alpine w/ Sub and the 7" screen. I do also notice periodically that I use my turn signal (with TurnCam on) and the volume lowers a bit on occasion, but not always and after the next restart, EQ settings are fine. Hoping someone has an idea. Not a gamebreaker, but annoying to me.
to add to this, I have my EQ at 4 for high, 2 mid and 7 for bass. Today I looked and bass was at 6. Figured I miss clicked the last time it reset (yesterday) so I upped it to 7. Next restart, it was back to 6....
I'm at a loss for how settings are stored/reset as I never lose radio presets or anything. One day, I did leave my phone plugged in, turned off the Jeep, restarted a few minutes later and the EQ was back to flat. Changed them all, drove around, left plugged in for 10 minutes after turning off and was all flat again. Makes me wonder if Carplay plays a part in it or not? In General, I hop in, start the Jeep, plug in the cable as the stereo is booting, but have tried plugging in prior to start and after boot to test also.
Thoughts?
