TRUE. STORY. Wow she's pretty...And all I'm looking at is the girl.
Looking at the fueleconomy.gov site to see how the 3.6 BSG did in the JL, and saw interesting comparison...
*Updated with 2020 2.0 ess (unlimited Rubicon) & 2020 2.0 BSG
For the unlimited ...
2020 3.6 BSG 20 combined, 19 City 22 Hwy
2020 3.6 ess 20 combined, 18 city, 22 hwy
2020 2.0 BSG 21 combined, 21 city, 22 hwy
2020 2.0 ess 21 combined, 21 city, 22 hwy
2019 3.6 ess 20 combined, 18 city, 23 hwy
2019 2.0 BSG 22 combined, 22 city, 24 hwy
Disappointed in the 3.6 BSG... was hopeful it would have been closer to the 2.0, or at least better than the 3.6 ess. Also not sure why the hwy number went down by 1 mpg from 2019 to 2020.
Rethinking a bit my choice of 3.6 in my 2020 JLUS... but I already have a 2.0 direct inject turbo in another car that had some issues, and wanted the ‘simplicity’ of the Pentastar. Was just hoping the etorque version was going to post better mpg numbers.
I have a 2dr 6spd manual 2018 JL. I have a 2.5-inch lift, 35x12.50 tires, and it now weighs about 300lbs more than stock with all my mods. Over the last 2200 miles, I've averaged 21 mpg part city part hi-way and including 10 hours of off-roading at Badlands ORV Park.
Here in Toronto the politicians are forcing us onto bicycles . Every year they take away from our roadways and give us a new idiotic bicycle lane. According the the Queen and Lefties we are supposed to save the planet. Soon they will take away the real meat from us too and we will be grazing on grass like the sheep do. . Cars are now reserved for the Chinese Commies and probably they consume most of our beef too . It is all reversed nowadays . Only few decades ago the tigers had no cars in China and they all happily rode bikes . Everything seems to be upside down here in the West . So go out and enjoy your Jeep before they will ban it too.If you MPG makes you feel better just wait for PHEV.
