I just noticed that Quatratec is now selling the full coverage door sill guards. Has anyone used these? Are they visible under the doors like I've read that Quadratec's ?

This thread came up when I was searching so I wanted to add my impressions of the rugged ridge guards.
I don’t have anything to compare them to but I really like them. They are a pliable rubber like plastic so they follow the contours well.

I used masking tape to line them up and just barely started the 3M tape to initially stick them and then pulled the rest of the backing off.

These have a thick strip of tape at the tread section and a thin strip at the narrow upper edge. Looking at the other options I did not see this upper strip which seems like it will help keep them from getting pulled up when your foot catches the edge.

I feel like the back entry guard could have been a little bigger, but the fronts are pretty much perfect.
I tried to get a pic of how they look under the rear door, it is slightly visible but in my garage with sting gray it doesn’t show much.

I just got mine yesterday.
Forgive me, but what does #2 mean? Are they just talking about the product itself? The 3M tape?
The only things in the box were the 4 guards.
Thank you!!

I saw that in the instructions and thought it was odd as well, but then I noticed all of the pictures showed things like interior trim pieces that really need good adhesion to keep from rattling. They just recycled the directions from some of their other parts and perhaps that step is applicable there.

The adhesion promoter is not included in the box.

The 3M adhesion promoter really helps the foam tape stick to plastic trim, so they should have applied it onto the entry guards before they applied the 3M tape that is on them.

As long as your paint is clean you shouldn’t need the adhesion promoter when attaching to paint.

Fm your pics these seem to be thinner than the Q ones. Not necessarily a bad thing. I also like the adhesive strip along the top as my foot has caught the Q version a few times. Another issue I've had with the Q version is seeing light through the passenger side door sill. Q sent me another set and had the same issue. Ended up trimming the second set so the light didn't come through. Then the other day while washing the Jeep I noticed water inside, in the foot wells. Closer inspection revealed the water came through where the sill guards are. Also, where we live and wheel, it is dusty. Lots of dust came in through the gap the Q sill guards seem to provide.

So am interested in seeing if the Ridged's do the same relative to water and dust as I'm about to pull the Q versions off my rig and replace them with 3m film.

I bought both!
The rugged ridge seem superior for every reason mentioned previously.
Material is more rubbery, which helps it conform better. Q is harder but has some gaps. better tape placement.
