I’ve already bought my MY19, but curious what the downside of the BSG on the 3.6 would be.
I want to keep it as simple as possible. An extra battery and all those cooling lines have me worried down the road. We keep our vehicles a long time. It may very well be a solid system that’s mostly trouble free....or not.

I really hope BSG is an option for the 3.6. Otherwise we’ll have to find a 2019.
I am with you there. From what I have read about the 3.6 E-Torque in the Dodge Ram, it adds 90 lb ft of torque under 1500 rpm. That is HUGE!!! Not sure we will see the same in the JL.

I am excited about it too!

Confirmed through 2 dealers in the last 24 hours. No more 2019 factory builds.
If they truly stopped producing 2019's, what happens to thosee who already had an order entered but not produced?

Since there's a price increase, but you've already negotiated the price, what happens? Do they simply run the order at 2019 price or cancel the order and re-enter it as a 2020?

I tried to order a 2020 MOAB (24M) today but it seems to no longer be available.

2019 will, still be built until the MY changeover. so the next few weeks will be to build out all the 2019 orders in the system. my guess is they know how many 2019 orders are outstanding, and backed into a 2020 start date as they know how many can be built per day. old date was July 22nd for 2020 to be built.

it does not seem like anything major changing other than price and maybe the 3.6bsg. I personally don't want the bsg, so no difference to me.

I don't care much for bsg either, and I still haven't received my VIN so I'm hoping it comes in soon!

Was that at a dealership or the online build tool? Thanks

Dan's Jeep Westboro MA. I wanted the ETorq and waited for the 2020. When they tried to configure the MOAB today they said there was no code for it now on the 2020 order menu. We configured a 2019 MOAB last week as an example of what i wanted.

Base 3.6 no charge
BSG 3.6 1K upcharge
BSG 2.0 Turbo 2K upcharge
Are there noticeable advantages/disadvantages to each of the engine choices? Besides I'm assuming that the turbo gets better gas mileage.

I agree with you. I kind of like the idea of BSG, but not to keen on the extra battery and cooling lines hanging underneath. I'll probably stay with the non-BSG V6.

I just don't get why the Sahara only comes with 3.6 BSG engine as a standard engine!

It's only an option for the Rubicon and the Sport, but not the Sahara as it comes standard with it, which really sucks!

Maybe. Maybe not. I for one, am very excited to see the specs on the 3.6 with the BSG. In the Ram, it delivers an additional 90 ft. lbs. of torque. That’s amazing. Not sure what we’ll see in the JL. Really curious to see how much faster this baby will be under 1500 rpm.
