Apple released emergency updates for iPhones and iPads on Friday.

to update: open the Settings app on your iPhone, go to General, click on Software Update, and finally click Download and Install.
It’s best to make sure your iPhone is connected to a charging cord, and Wi-Fi is required to be enabled.
After about 15 to 20 minutes of “downloading” and “preparing update”, you will be given the choice to “Install now”.
Once you click “Install now”, the phone will reboot and install the update (another 15 minutes).
If your iPhone has not been updated recently, allow for more time.
