They've sold almost 30k of them. Like 15% of all Wranglers.I had a 4xe on order and followed things closely. The NHTSA official site has a lot of logged issues with the 4xe and at last check a few weeks ago, the polls for the 4xe in the Facebook owners group and on the site dedicated to it have ~1/4 of people having had serious issues requiring more than a week in the shop, many unresolved. I understand that's weighted towards the complainers but even if it's 50% high, that's 1/10 people having very serious issues for a car that is for most owners not one year old.
The straw that broke me out of that order were the many reports both at NHTSA and in forums of the highway shut downs. As in driving 75 MPH and the car just completely goes black and you have to muscle it to the shoulder. That's nucking futs.
Like I said, a few isolated incidents does not kill a model.
