Spent 3-4 days with wet floor carpeting after last rain, even after pulling the plugs to drain. Is it easy/advisable to remove all floor carpeting for the summer when I like driving spotless/topless? Is it easily reinstalled? Thanks.

Easy is a relative term... easy compared to a Lexus? Yes. Easy compared to previous jeeps? I’m not sure but my gut tells me no. It’s worth a shot though. If no one here has done it, be a trailblazer for the rest of us!

It's not bad, the carpet is separated into several pieces and they just snap into place.

The interior detailing guys took apart my carpeting to wash when I had my Jeep detailed once, think it just took them like 15 minutes to remove all, then again they do this for a living..

It is easy, but it will take 10-15 minutes if you go at a good pace and you're not just ripping stuff apart. There are some portions that are perforated and need to be separated, but you wanna take your time to do it right.

I take my carpets out every summer and put them back in the winter. So yea, just set aside half an hour or so to do it without rushing.

Page 491 in my (not sure it’s the most up to date) owners manual shows how to remove the carpet...just read them backwards to reinstall. Lol!

It comes out easy. Putting it back takes a bit longer.
But ya, you need to dry it before it mildews.
And like OP said, just leave it out for the summer and put it back in the winter.
