Hey friends! I have a reservation for April 13-18th at Sun Outdoors Moab downtown RV Park. It's a pull through site with full hook ups, 30 and 50a electric. I'm not able to make it anymore, so I'm wondering if anyone here would like to buy it off me. I'm guessing everywhere is booked at this point so let me know if you're interested!
Could I also borrow your trailer? šŸ˜

Going to be in MOAB the same weekend as the safari, right now our group is about 7 vehicles total however were not actually attending the event BUT we are going camping out there and wheeling around for the 8-11th. We planned our days around the event and trails so that we don't cross over with the event, hope to see some of you out there!

How much is the site? Was not planning on going but I need to burn a couple weeks vacation before the end of April.

weā€™re scheduled for he same ride on 4/11. That said, I might cancel our 4/10 and 4/11 ride to go run golden spike and top of the world when the rr4w isnā€™t running them.

First time to EJS, and signed up for the Sophomore package. For anyone who has done a package ride previously, what do you recommend for arrival time to the start of the ride? Seems like there may be benefits to arriving early to be toward the front of the group of 25 Jeeps vs at the end of the line? Does anybody with previous experience have an opinion on this or can offer other suggestions or recommendations?

Anyone have recommendations for where to store a hardtop for the week? Iā€™m in a hotel this trip instead of condo, so no garage, and my trailer is open

iā€™m on Storage unit waiting lists, but nothing available yet. 10x10 runs $100 for a month. Iā€™d gladly pay that for a week to have a place to put the top.

Iā€™ll add, if you have garage space in Moab, Iā€™m happy to pay for the week. šŸ‘

I have heard tell that the trails that are sceduled for the jeep Safari are reserved ..if you show up at say fins and things they will turn you around..best to do the runs that they dont have scheduled.on the off days.IMO
Moab is better with three or four rigs max. Those 25 jeep size groups go so slow they make a 4 hour run 6 or more
Only a few of the trails are reserved for EJS only. Mostly it's the out and back trails that can't handle to s of Jeeps at the same time.

Most trails are fully open the whole week.

I would still avoid the EJS trails because of congestion.

Cool, thanks much for the insight. Been to Moab on dirt bikes many times, but this will be the first time in the Jeep, so looking forward to the comradery of a 3-day group learning experience. CB is ready, and I guess I can sleep in a bit longer each day! Thanks again for the response and see you on the trail.

I asked this in another EJS thread but this one looks more activeā€¦

Are any or all of these (circled red) doable in a stock JLU Rubicon? Guessing the 2 & 3s certainly are. How about level 4 ones?

Iā€™ll be down in Sedona and Iā€™m thinking of an excursion up to Moab to ride one of these on Sat 4/16.

If could only do one, for a newb in his Rubicon, which would be the funnest?

I donā€™t mind scraping skids or rails. But Iā€™d rather not cave in my doors or pinstripe them to death.

I can tell you from experience that I did fins and things in my stock JLUR. I had a couple lazy moments and hit some rock on something metal under the jeep but looked under and didnā€™t see any damage. I did every obstacle on fins too. Was a great time and my first time to Moab in my first Jeep! I met up some some others and they let me join them or Iā€™d never have attempted some of the stuff I did with ease. The Rubicon just crawls up everything itā€™s so nice! One of the guys said Iā€™d be able to complete hells revenge no problem. There are more difficult obstacles but they have bypasses. I want to go back!

Any of those are doable in a stock Rubicon. Frankly, being new to off-roading, youā€™ll have a good time on any of those trails.
