Running a Dynacraft lift with Mopar extended LCA's on a 4-door Rubicon. Anyone with this setup and running either +12 or +18 offsets on 17x9 or 17x8.5 rims with 35's or 37's... And this is a question for only those that have actual real life experience at full flex, disconnected, and aired down. Any rubbing issues? Looking to stay as tucked in as possible, maybe 1" of bulge. Any input or straight-on pictures showing the tires extending from the fenders appreciated greatly.

OK, I can’t answer your question directly, but I can share my setup with you as it might maybe help indirectly. I’ve got a JLUR with the Dynatrac lift with an extra 1/2” spacer in front. I’ve got the extended Mopar LCA. I’ve got OEM Rubicon wheels (+44) with 315/70/17 tires (35”).

I do rub slightly at full lock. I believe that it happens more while on road driving at normal pressure than when disconnected and aired down and flexed. I just noticed it recently. See the photos below for how much it rubs. I hope this helps you to visualize what doesn’t quite work.

My plan is 37s on Mopar 17x7.8 +12 wheels with this setup. They’ll be 1.21” farther away from the suspension than my current setup. As you can see by how much they rub now, they’ll have adequate clearance.

Why don’t you adjust your steering stops? You won’t even notice the change. Other than no more rubbing. I run 37s with stock wheels, no spacers and no rubbing, fully flexed and aired down.

Didn’t know it was rubbing until I went under there to install LCA skids recently. That’s when I discovered it.

Thanks, and great info on the Mopar wheels. Sounds like a +18 might work well also. Trying to go a bit wider on the rim size though for better tread contact, 8.5 or 9. But, yours is a very good solution. Did you add the 1/2" spacers with the lift or were they added later?

Added when the lift was installed.

Month old post. OP, did you get it done?
Nope, still looking at rims. Difficult to find a 17x8.5 with a +18 or +25. Nearly impossible if also looking for the 71.5 hub bore. Hub centric rings could be used though. AEV has the sizes, but don't really care for the styling. Same with Mopar. Many hours into this already, I have learned that Summit Racing has the best rim search tools available. Just about any parameter you could ask for in a search for rims is available there. Helpful info for anyone looking.

Looks are important to many folks. I commend you for not throwing a generic set on just for looks. However because most folks do just that, there is not many wheel offerings specifically engineered for the JL, as you know. Fortunately I'm OK with AEV Pintlers and their old school 5 spoke design and form follows function won out. Shout out to AEV.
37x12.5 and Mopar lift(closer to 3")work well together. I would not recommend 37's and a 2" lift. AEV told me BFG 37's(short) rub a little with their 2.5 lift.

Thanks, tires are tucked nicely. Yes, I've decided on 35's. Lots of time to think it over these days. I prefer the old school look myself, because I am old. But more of the slotted look. Prefer polished aluminum over black but none available. There sure is a wide open market out there for JL aftermarket rims with the right specs.

I’ve been thinking the same thing Dynatrac 2 inch left with fuel maverick wheels 17 x 8.5 +25 offset

Nice looking rim, but couldn't find that size on the Fuel website.

Go to custom

Go to custom wheel offset you will find them there.
Found it there. Funny it's not on Fuels website, you might want to call them and double check. Looks good and same specs as the AEV rims so should work. May need to adjust steering stops but probably not. I noticed that the hub bore on these was 72.6, they should be hubcentric ring compatible but some rims are not. Let us know if you move forward with this.

I received a quote from discount tire don’t have it in front of me for the pricing for wheels and tires. The hub center is so minimal I don’t think they would put a ring on that. I would like to see how much the tire pokes out on a Rubicon Unlimited with 17 x 8.5 with + 25 offset and tire size 3 15 x 70/17. I’m thinking for myself the ideal offset would be +18.
