Dual top/soft top issue

I installed my soft top this weekend and it seemed to go pretty good. One issue I seem to have is that when the top is down all the way and I want to put it up, the top catches the holder for the electic plug/washer fluid holder for the hard top that is in the rear drivers side corner. . The only way I can get the top up is to have it pull the holder off. I know it will eventually brake that holder and I'm afraid it will eventually damage the the wiring. Anyone else have this issue?
