I was in that scenario this past weekend. Running 3.5 in lift and 35 tires on a jl sport. No trouble for the most part but snow is unpredictable. I started sliding into a tree trunk on a turn and stopped luckily beforeslamming into it.

I love my 4 door in the snow. However I think that is because I compare it to driving a 2 door, which sucks in the snow.
I recently got to take her out in 1-2 feet of snow, and it behaved in a strange way. When I was going up a hill, and having to give it more gas to dig in, the wheels were doing this weird
start/stop/start/stop thing repeatedly. I assume this is the BLD. Turned off all ESC etc, and it still did it. It made an awful rattling sound which I can only assume is from the driveshaft repeatedly moving/stopping from the BLD. Letting off the gas stopped the rattling sound. This was off road conditions.
