Driver side floor is damp!

Hey everyone! Newbie Jeep owner here, so far I am loving it! I have a 2020 JL sport s manual 2 door. We had a good rain storm here the other day and while cleaning the mat, I found water under it and the carpet was soaked on the driver side door. I first thought it might be the hard top, but I now think it’s coming from the A pillar area. I looked at both the driver side and passenger side doors, and found a seal that looks out of place and missing some sort of black sealant material. If you look closely on the driver side door, you can even see the seal coming through the crack. I know this is a Jeep, so a minor leak isn’t too much of a concern, but with only 350 miles I expect to have dry carpet! Has anyone else experienced this? I’ll be heading to the dealer ASAP.

Had the exact same issue with water running down the inner A pillar when I first got my jeep. I thought it was an issue with my freedom panels. I immediately scheduled an appointment with my dealership's leak specialist. Turned out to be the driver side door seal and the driver side body seams under the cowl. Both were fixed and I've been leak free (aside from issues with my Sunrider for Hardtop). Make sure you request that a leak specialist checks the entire vehicle and does the repairs.

I can't guarantee that every dealership/location has one. My dealership has a guy that comes in every other Friday so an appointment is a must. My service advisor claimed he's the best on Long Island. He spends the entire day at the dealership and will take as long as necessary on each vehicle to find and repair the leak(s). I had the same problem of wet driver 's side floor until I stopped drinking so much and it stopped. My seat and pants are drier now also.

Should anyone decide to attempt this, that has issues with their floors getting wet when it rains, etc., remove the driver and passenger side cowls and check the body seams. It's a known leak area on the JL Wranglers.
