Drag racing the JL

Today my son and I took the JL out to El Mirage dry lake to explore the hills, test the flex and take a few photos. Afterwards we were cruising the lakebed and I started thinking about 0-60 times. I downloaded an app to my phone and gave it a shot.

First run was 9 something 0-60 and 16.3 1/4. Second was 17 even 1/4 and I don’t remember the 0-60.

This image is the third run when I brake torqued it at the start.

I have a 2 dr Rubi (Mods in my signature) with the 2.0 Turbo. I'm just north of 200 and my son is about 250/260. Plus I had recovery gear with me.

I stopped after three runs, otherwise I would have been removing the spare and rear seat etc…. Trying to shave that next tenth.

When I take the doors of I swear I gain a second faster to 60 lol

When the doors and top are off it feels like Leroy...

Drag racing would be very addicting to me. Right quick Id be removing mirrors and carpeting and draining gas etc…..

The best thing about a manual in Wrangler is if you are sitting at a stop light and your passenger is talking to much 1st gear is a sure way to stop someone from talking. So low I think it can give whiplash!

I know its not even close to the same thing but, I supplement my desires for drag racing with Youtube, its way cheaper! I had one "fast car" and I can say I'm happier owning the Jeep.
