It’s that time of year. I’ve taken the tops off all of my Jeeps, bit not the doors since the YJ. I gotta have mirrors. Just can’t drive without them.

So, I’m down to CMM or Kickbax. They both have a similar mirror head, so it's more about the mounting. I don’t like vibration.

I know there are probably old threads on this but I’m curious what time has done with people’s opinions. Or maybe something new is out that I don’t know about.

I went OEM. Solid as a rock, look right and great resale, tho I'll never sell them unless I sell the Jeep.

I couldn't find anything that looked as good or mounted as solidly, 3 point mounting.

The Mopar kit looks good. And the price is in the middle of the other two I was considering.

How’s the traffic view on the CMMs?

I spent *way* too many hours researching doors off mirrors

All I could find was cheap, hinge mount Amazon crap that turns at speed and shakes like a chubby pole dancer or uber overpriced for what they are ones like the CMMs.

Somewhere in my 100s of saved Jeep things I noted finding some DO mirrors that looked promising. They were originally made for motorcycles, but damned if I can find them now. If I do ill post them for you to look at.

I don’t have FB, so I cant see it. Can’t imagine anyone doing business today not having a dedicated website vs a Facebook page.

That's because you're not on Facebook...

Seriously though, don't get FB - it's awful.

But as a business, a FB is a million times easier to setup and run. For a small business, it (sadly) makes so much more sense than a legit website for a number of reasons.

I added a few screeshots if anyone is interested. I have no affiliation just bought some from him and they are great. I sent him what I wanted and he did them custom. The last picture are my foot pegs. I dont have a picture of the mirrors yet, but the work is spot on.

CMM here. Happy with them and going 80 on the freeway has no impacts of vibration IMO. Holds up Uber well. My only gripe is the angle of the RH mirror and it’s depth perception. Sometimes I like to back in tight along side of somerhjng and I really have to lean in to see my rear fender/tire for clearance.
Maybe a different convex shape for RH side would be better?!

Thanks. I back with mirrors too, hardly ever look at the camera screen unless it’s a tight spot or I’m hooking up a trailer.

I posted this in another thread:

DIE-TECH Off-Road Mirror Brackets for Jeep Wrangler JL & JL Unlimited

These work great (had them on my old JK)...no vibration or extra wind noise what so ever...and they maintain the factory look. Unfortunately you can't use the JK brackets on the JL.

They sell the brackets or brackets and mirrors combo.

I didn't want to be taking my mirrors off of my door every time I go doorless so I bought on extra set of mirrors to attach to the brackets when I first used these with my old JK.

Since I already had this extra set mirrors for my old JK, I only had to buy the JL brackets that work with my JK style mirrors this time. Pretty cool of this company to sell/make JL brackets that work with JK mirrors as well as JL mirrors.

I like my CMM mirrors. I run them in the bottom location vs the top one. Also It took me a little while to accept the convex shape of the mirrors...
