Hello All,

I purchased an inexpensive door hanger for my 2024 2-door and I have run into an issue. Probably, my own fault, but I’m so used to the older Wranglers.

The hanger - https://www.quadratec.com/p/body-ar...e=1&gbraid=0AAAAAD_wpjh22n3gB7OPYMA8vu-vOfjcU

The issue, these two door stops or whatever they are (Photos attached) are not my jeep. Grabbed them from the web. But they are what’s causing the issue on my doors. The photos are also a different holder.

They get in the way and I can’t close both doors all the way when the inside of the doors are facing the wall. Is it as simple as turning the doors around? Of course I didn’t try. All the pictures show them with the outside of the door facing out. If I turn them, I loose the door latch to keep them closed.

Thanks for the help.

If you can't get them to swing flush to the wall, why not bolt up a 2 x 4?

You can just push them into the door. It might be helpful to put loop of paracord through the bolt hole to pull them back for when you put the doors back on

I have the door hanger you linked. Are you saying the door stops are in the way? That’s what happens to me with the particular hanger you linked. It would’ve been better if they staggered the mounts. For some reason all hangers like this are designed the same way. The door stops interfere with each other if you remove the doors fully open. If you close them one click then your issue is solved. You can push the door stopper in one click with the doors off, but it can be a bit tricky. Easiest is to put the doors back on the Jeep, close the door one click, and then remove doors.

Ok. I will try this. I didn’t even think to close the doors. Thank you!

That ^^ is for anyone wanting door hangers for dirt cheap that work flawlessly. Just ask me ;)

As for your problem you need to let those pop back into the door. They can be a bear to pull back out. I use a screwdriver and put it through the hole while my wife holds the door and I pull the dickens out of it until it pops back out.

You don’t need to push them all the way into the door. When you remove the doors you unscrew the door stopper when the door is one notch in from all the way open.

I have tried it halfway and it does work. But, if I push them in all the way the doors lay completely flat against the wall. Keep in mind that I am referencing what happens with my self made hangers, so it could vary depending but I assume they all fit the same if they are hanging from the door studs.

Ah gotcha. Depends on the hanger design. I can speak directly to the link the OP posted. I know the OP doesn’t have those, but if they’re a similar design (there are several competitors), then OP just needs to have the stopper go in one detent and that’ll work. Personally I wouldn’t want the door skin against the wall, but I could see an argument the other way. I’m just a diva with my garage appearance and prefer the door skin showing 😁

With mine you can hang the door either side. It's just if I leave the stops halfway out the doors will stick out at an angle and get in the way of other things going on in the shop. Nothing actually touches the wall. it's a great design for around $10.

That was it. Thank you!
