Looks good! I would do the hook at the bottom - honestly, my objective is to put the majority of the weight at the bottom of the door, with the top being just a stabilizer/retainer hook. I want as little weight as possible on soft parts (weather stripping).![]()
Bought some hooks from Home Depot today. Mounted them to my fence, just inside my gate. I only run doors off wihen there’s no rain in the forecast so they won’t be outside when it rains. Will grab one more single hook so the front doors are held by three hooks. HD only had one of the double hooks, which is why I only have one double and two singles.
I added cut 2x4s to help brace the hooks. Will paint them white to match the rest of the fence.
Someone mentioned having a hook at the bottom, too. Might do that. Spread the weight, you know?
