Yep, that looks like a Wrangler. WTF? Did he not have lug nuts? How do you end up having two wheels just fall off?

Sucks for the Nissan getting smacked by both of them!

Happened several times during the early days of the forum. I remember reading the threads while mine was on order.

Kind of a basic problem with the model changes in WRANGLERS--

Using JK wheels on a JL or just not torqueing the lug nuts after the tire switch's !

Pay attention

You can use JK wheels on JLs. Doesn't cause this issue .Your second part does, wrong or lack of proper torque .

I’ve been using JK AEV Borah’s on my rig, no issues. I do agree that people need to follow the recommended torque specs.

I've seen that happen live when I was 15 working at my first job. I was sweeping the parking lot and a guy came around a corner, his wheel came off, and it smashed into a newspaper box about 15 yards from me. Completely destroyed the metal newspaper box.

Also on JK's there are small metal retainer clips that hold the rotors on during assembly. The factory wheels have cut outs to accommodate these. Many people would swap on after market wheels without the cutouts and not take the retainer clips off causing a bit of play that could eventually work the lug nuts off.
