Shes slowing down quick and gets sore fast but she sure does getting out and walking around camp and laying by the fire. hopfully a couple or so more years with her
That's one of the things that factored into my buying a Jeep, now that I think about it. My old girl made it the last time we went on a good hike, but it clearly took a lot out of her. Now she can just ride, and we can still get to the waterfall a different way.

I know the feeling. I love taking my girl to the streams when possible for her to swim since I do not have a pool for her. Even in the snow she’ll hope right in without a doubt for a freezing swim lol

8 weeks later yet... and she's 35 lbs. Almost as big as her mentor Loki.

Just keeps on growing. End of July here.

And the best part of this photo is the outlet wall plate you can see.
That was a good plate, until Rey (the younger lab) was chasing a ball, slid on the wood floor, banged her head against it to crack it, bounced off and continued the chase without missing a beat. :)

Luke - Husky mix, we lost him a few days ago but he was 14 and had a bunch of medical issues. We had been nursing thru diabetes and a heart condition. This was on of the sweetest and most loving animal I have had the pleasure to share my life with. we rescued him at 11 years old from his owner who was suffering from Parkinson Disease and could no longer take care of him.
We will miss him dearly.

You are a good person to open your heart and home to a senior pup. 🐾
Thank you for the kind words
We were the lucky ones, he was a rare dog. Gentle, loving and trouble free. He needed a place to live and we had recently lost our previous rescue to cancer.

Like it says on the back of my tuck
