Oh, do not get me started. I will forever put two spaces after a period because it is easier to read. (Even if most things take it out automatically these days.)
It was easier to read decades ago when everything was monospaced in the age of typewriters and computers that could only deal with fixed-width fonts. The need for that two space hack went away with the common use of proportional fonts.

Hell, even the contemporary style guides have converted to recommending one space after periods.

But you're apparently resistant to change. Hopefully your friends cut you some slack when you show up for movie night with a VHS tape ;).

Hey now, just because I'm resistant to that one change doesn't mean I'm resistant to all. I've been building my own gaming computers since 1995 and just built a smokin' one a few months ago!

Oh, and lest ye forget, I drive a brand new 4xe, much to the chagrin of many. (I get funny looks at Walmart sometimes -- electric Jeep, cannot compute.)

(But I still have a few VHS tapes, including the original version of Star Wars. I think that's probably worth something. Too bad I don't have a VHS player anymore!)

My two main vehicles are my 2019 Wrangler and my BMW R nineT, so I'm either waving at fellow Jeeps or bikers (I'm friendly). About once a month I find myself driving my daughter's Honda CRV and instinctively waving at Jeeps and bikes. Get some really weird responses.

Best,
-Tim

On those infrequent occasions when I'm driving my wife's CR-V, I do have to remind myself to not raise the peace sign to any oncoming Jeepers.

I don't have that problem when I'm on one of the motorcycles, but when behind a non-Wrangler steering wheel? Every time. 😐

Retired from Corrections....I have stories.
I just got back into a wrangler after about a 12 year break, and in the past 2 weeks I've probably waved at 40-50 jeeps and had maybe 4 wave back. When I had my TJ literally everyone waved. Is that not a thing anymore? None of the people with a dash full of ducks has waved, I just get this weird vacant eyed stare like "Why are you waving at me?"
I travle all over and I have found the closer you live to Toledo Ohio, the more likely someone with a Jeep will wave.

You sure they weren't honking because you were impeding traffic?

Doubt it. My bus has a Porsche 911 engine in it. So it’s not a slow poke.

Depends upon where you live! When I’m out in my M4 I still wave at nice Jeeps. I often get strange looks, but Jeeps are a lifestyle and you can’t turn off being obsessed ✌

Last week I was walking my dog and this really nice giant Gladiator went by and I gave them the wave on foot 🤣. They gave it back too.

Then again soccer moms in 4XEs don’t seem interested.

Not interested is an understatement. Often the nose in the air … Got Your Nerve , Jerk … look.
