Jeep capital of the USA? You'd think, but apparently it didn't even get a mention on this demographics study: https://hedgescompany.com/blog/2021/03/jeep-owner-demographics/.

Per capita it's Oklahoma, followed by Michigan, New Hampshire, Wyoming, and New Jersey.
those numbers cited are a good reason why I don't wave.....look at how many people in the 65+ group have children living at home...I aint freaking waving to them they must be dysfunctional...........

to any normal person driving a jeep in Western Montana.....don't take it personal that I did not wave to you.....or give you a duck.......if you want to buy me a beer I will accept that.....as long as it is not an IPA....I don't do IPA's.....oh I am easy to spot as I am the one who doesn't wave........

Where I live, there are more jeeps than anything else, and we all wave. However, went down to laguna beach last week and there were more jeeps than in my small town and literally NOBODY waved!!! I got the blank WTF are you waving at look. Bizarre and disappointing!!!!
I live in San Clemente and its the same. I have tried, gotten the stare and thus have given up. I believe there are just too many now. There are 3+ on every block on the coast, so it’s just too much.

I just got back into a wrangler after about a 12 year break, and in the past 2 weeks I've probably waved at 40-50 jeeps and had maybe 4 wave back. When I had my TJ literally everyone waved. Is that not a thing anymore? None of the people with a dash full of ducks has waved, I just get this weird vacant eyed stare like "Why are you waving at me?"
Kinda silly in my opinion. The ducks are even dumber.

The fact that you eye up a Jeep and decide whether to wave or not is hilarious.
Thanks. TJ's are easy to spot and I don't drive with my hand on the top of the steering wheel. It's exhausting to make the effort to wave.😂 Only TJ's get the wave.

where i live, you get waved at by anything in anything. Like we used to do in remote areas. Driving alcan, did not see a car in 4 hours, but i waved at a trucker, he waved back.

New Jeep owner here. I honestly sometimes forget. And when I pass a jeep I throw a last minute panic wave lol

All the fuking time, it’s exhausting 🙋‍♂️….Jeepers around here are actually too fuking friendly….😂
Same here. Treasure coast of FL is peak wrangler town (Jeep Beach and all). I need a 3rd arm to wave so much.

Moved to Greenville SC last year. Everyone with a Wrangler/Gladiator waves here, at least 90% of the time I'd say. There are a lot of Jeeps here. And they almost all have ducks completely filling their dashboards from side to side.

I never saw dashboards full of ducks in Denver :) I had 0 ducks when I moved here, now I have a half dozen or so. Not sure I want any more TBH, they just fill up the center dashboard tray for now.

I'm thinking it's primarily little kids that do the ducking. The ducks I've received on the trail have definitely come from kids. It's a big deal to them.

I can't imagine displaying them on the dash though. Pretty damn cheesy.

Yeah but you don't fit in here without a dashboard full of ducks. Seriously, every Jeep I see is lined edge to edge with ducks on the dashboard. I felt so naked when I first got here with no ducks. Now that I have half a dozen or so that seems like a sufficient quantity of ducks.

Are you supposed to wave at Gladiators? I do, but a lot of times they don't wave back. There's not really a way to tell if they have a huge hind end when they're coming at you in the opposite lane.

That's why you just don't wave at any of them then you don't have to worry about accidentally waving at a gladiator.
