I'm doing a bit of reverse-engineering, and I thought I might ask rather than use more destructive methods to get the information I'm looking for.
The Wrangler is a significantly fly-by-wire vehicle. (There are notable exceptions, like the steering wheel for example.) For everything else, might someone happen to know if Jeep has a favored vendor (or family of chips) that they use for communications between their components? You know, the electronic dash, the Sky One Touch, the center control panel, the lights, etc?
I've worked out that the Wrangler's main communication network isn't CAN but most likely TTCAN. I was trying to narrow down the vendor (Infineon, Bosch, Microchip, etc) which may lead the way to unlocking additional information.
Thanks!
