OEM Wrangler are aluminum; OEM Gladiator are steel. Are the Mopar knuckles aluminum or cast steel?
I believe they are cast iron like the Reids. But I could be wrong. Are the Mopar knuckles aluminum or cast steel?
If you want steering stops, the price will probably be close to the Mopar's to machine/drill/tap the Reid's.Thank you. I expected them to be somewhat cheaper than the Reid.
The Reid Racing knuckles are made of high strength ductile iron, which is highly resistant to hard impacts and shock loads. Cast iron would easily crack and break apart, but is fine in uses such as boiler sections in a home heating unit.I believe they are cast iron like the Reids. But I could be wrong.
The Reids have molded in steering stops that are meant to be ground down to maximize turning radius. I still have to do that to mine, as I have lost just a noticeable amount of tight maneuvering. If you want steering stops, the price will probably be close to the Mopar's to machine/drill/tap the Reid's.
Fair enough...for me the orange did it LOLThe Reids have molded in steering stops that are meant to be ground down to maximize turning radius. I still have to do that to mine, as I have lost just a noticeable amount of tight maneuvering.
Yeah, I'm not crazy about the orange myself. But it doesn't offend me enough to have waited to do the install. My powder coater has a 3 month backlog, so I would've been lucky to get my front end redone before the year was out. The orange isn't nearly that bad, and at least they match the rcv boots pretty well.Fair enough...for me the orange did it LOL
