Does anyone know if knuckles off of a JT will fit on a JLU Rubicon axle? I think that they are cast and would be stronger than the aluminum knuckles .

A couple of things:

Mopar knuckles are drilled and tapped for steering stops and Reid's are not.

Reid's are orange and Mopar's are black.

I bought the Reid's and sold them and installed Mopar's instead.
Are the Mopar knuckles aluminum or cast steel?

OEM Wrangler are aluminum; OEM Gladiator are steel.

Here are the Mopar numbers you need:

68477358AA - Front Knuckle, Right
68477359AA - Front Knuckle, Left

I believe they are cast iron like the Reids. But I could be wrong.

Thank you. I expected them to be somewhat cheaper than the Reid.

If you want steering stops, the price will probably be close to the Mopar's to machine/drill/tap the Reid's.

The Reid Racing knuckles are made of high strength ductile iron, which is highly resistant to hard impacts and shock loads. Cast iron would easily crack and break apart, but is fine in uses such as boiler sections in a home heating unit.

The Reids have molded in steering stops that are meant to be ground down to maximize turning radius. I still have to do that to mine, as I have lost just a noticeable amount of tight maneuvering.

Yeah, I'm not crazy about the orange myself. But it doesn't offend me enough to have waited to do the install. My powder coater has a 3 month backlog, so I would've been lucky to get my front end redone before the year was out. The orange isn't nearly that bad, and at least they match the rcv boots pretty well. 😆
