All the stock images show it too, so I assume FCA knows about it and it's just part of the design.

Mine has it too, I think it gives it character :like:

Thanks for all the responses, I guess I'm not alone. No big deal as long as it's not just me. Little surprised I guess.

The wavy door issue is seen on ALL JL's and JLU's.

One of the reason's I went with Bright White for my JL's color, is because with the white, you do not notice the waves as much.

Yup an almost $50K pain in the butt! My Cherokee TH has aluminum hood and tailgate, no waving that I can see??? White though seems like the best color? My JLUS Granite and got some waves, just a "JeepWave" I guess? My son in law has a JLUR $54K JLUR he got more waves for his money! lol But truly NOT funny!

Go Jeep!!!

I often thought the same thing you can see it in my photos.
Your door actually look pretty straight in those pics compared to some that have an actual bulge by the hinges.

Metal expands and contracts as temps change. The recent extreme temp (-25 to 40) changes here in the Chicago area made some doors a lot more noticeable. I noticed a few with really bad doors. The metal wave is know as metal oil canning. It's common on flat sheet metal. Very common on garage doors and metal roof trim. They actually texturize the metal on most garage doors to hide the oil canning. Rhinebeck01 is correct, lighter colors like white hide the reflections better so it's not as noticeable. Black will show it the most.
