Is it just me or do your doors have a wavy look. Its like a built in jeep wave lol. If its normal then Im not worried but if others are not the same then maybe I need to stop by the dealers.

There is no wave in my door or the paint. Dead straight. I would go conpare if I were you. I had a JK previously that was like that and ad to get the doors replaced

It's the new aluminum doors. Go look at the F150's they look the same.

Yeah... mine are kinda wavy. But then all the JL's on the dealer's lot were wavy as well.

Completely normal. Some colors show it more than others.

Ours is the same way. My daughter even thought it was dented when she first saw it.

As was mentioned, it's fairly common with the JL doors now being aluminum. My aluminum F-150 is the same way.

I haven't seen one where it isn't noticeable.

I believe the issue is that itā€™s a polished flat panel so even a small flex is going to stand out. The JL has aluminum door skins which arenā€™t as rigid as steel. They could certainly design a body line or incorporate a crease to hide or prevent this, but then it wouldnā€™t look like a Jeep.

I havenā€™t noticed any waves in my doors....Iā€™m too distracted by all the orange peel in the paint.

Thanks for all the replies, it's not a huge deal just wanted to make sure I am not the only one. Seems maybe normal then

After picking up my Jeep I thought that the drivers side door was pushed in a little. Itā€™s the same way on the passengers side so I assume thatā€™s the way itā€™s supposed to be. Donā€™t love it but itā€™s not bothering me.

Large flat panels of thin metal move around a lot, especially with temperature changes. Just think about the sides of one gallon rectangular cans like paint thinner comes in.
