Do you prefer a black or body coloured hardtop?

I like my color-matched fenders and hard-top because it makes my Jeep look like a redneck G-Wagon. The Wrangler's garage mate is a redneck Ferrari (old Chevy Corvette).

black for me, but like the look of the color tops, just wish they had that color on the dash.

I went back and forth and looked at so many pics and videos before finally going with the black top with painted fenders with my Sting Gray JLUR build last week.

They all look good, but that combo just looked the best to me on the Wrangler, if I would have went with a Gladiator I would have gone with the painted roof tho for sure

I like both, but went dual top with a black roof so that if I decide to run a softie full time, then I can sell the black top to a larger group of potential buyers. Color tops are only going to really sell to people with the same color or a complimentary color.

IMO it all depends on the body color. I had an Ocean Blue Unlimited Sport and I regretted not getting a body colored roof. I also wanted body colored fender flares. Now I have a Sarge Green Unlimited Rubicon and I think it looks best with the black top and flares.

Hello all. I've been on here for years and Finally Purchased My JL!
Mine is black but I feel I'm going to get the Top painted to match the Gloss Black! It feels "Finished." I'll be switching out to the painted Sahara fender flares as well.

I ordered a JLU Sahara last month and eagerly waiting for it....

I chose bright white with a black hardtop (also getting the soft top).

I especially like the contrast between the black and white.

It seems like the majority of JL’s I see on the road and at the dealer have the matching top...wondering what others think...??

Thanks

Both, neither, I don't know!

Fan of the black tops. Body match looks decent on a lifted Jeep. Stop the remind me to much of the first and second gen liberties.

to the op, black top on white body is a great combo, same as my foxbody

Black unpainted top but I do like the JL painted fenders with the 2-tone.

That would be way easier than painting. I will have to check those out.
If you don't like how glossy they are out of the box give them a few coats of Plasti Dip. You can get a can at Walmart for $6.
