Black top and fenders. I like the contrast. Also, it's easier to repair black top scratches and replace a damaged black plastic fender.

Body color matched top and fenders are gonna cost you some bucks to repair correctly. Besides the fenders are at least 50% likely getting replaced with aftermarket anyway.

I like that you have options... painted top and fenders, painted top with unpainted fenders, unpainted top and unpainted fenders, and for us a black top on white painted fenders... it helps make the Jeeping community unique!

I ordered a JLU Sahara last month and eagerly waiting for it....

I chose bright white with a black hardtop (also getting the soft top).

I especially like the contrast between the black and white.

It seems like the majority of JL’s I see on the road and at the dealer have the matching top...wondering what others think...??

Thanks

I prefer color-matched fenders and top. Looks more “premium” in my book.

I find the painted, clear-coated surfaces more scratch-resistant, and much easier to clean and maintain, too.

I personally think the body color looks significantly better. My Rubicon happens to be black, so it was easy to get the cheaper option.
However, I would still order the cheaper black roof and spend that additional money on something else. It's not like I can see it when I am sitting inside. Plus, after a while you won't care anymore.
Use that money and get the Rhinorack backbone.

Black top and fenders for me. Personally, I think the color and size (2dr vs 4dr) makes a difference. I really like a 2dr in red with matching hard top, but my last JK was a 4dr, white with matching fenders and hard top. Looked like a refrigerator on wheels.

Black top and fenders. They take the brunt of brush and tree branches on the trail. Mine have trail rash and battle scars. I would hate to see what they would look like if they were painted to color match the body.
