After I rolled my 13 JK, I took the tires and rims off of it. 35”/12.5” R 17 Goodyear MTR’s on black Mickey Thompson Classic III. I put them on my 19 JL 2-door Rubicon. They didn’t center out on the Jeep right away. It wasn’t until the lugs were all the way on till they pulled the rim to center itself on all the lugs. So is this what hub centric is all about ? I feel like the weight of the Jeep is now on the studs and not the hub. Quadratec stated that the rims WILL work with the JL. I’m just checking. Any thoughts ?

Which lug nuts did you use when you mounted the wheels on the JL? The JK wheels will work, but you cannot re-use the JK lugs.

I didn’t know about the lug nut difference till the day I was supposed to get them changed, so I had to reschedule and order these.

I'm pretty sure those wheels are NOT hub centric. You likely need a centering ring.

I’ve never heard of a centering ring. Where can I get 1 or 4 ?

A centering ring does exactly what it sounds like it should do. It centers a non-hub centric or lug centric wheel on the hub. Essentially it eliminates any play between the wheel and hub.

You need to reach out to a tire/wheel shop or wherever you ordered your wheels from and tell them you need a set of centering rings for your specific wheels and vehicle.

Discount Tire is forum sponsor, you can try PMing them.
