Hello guys,

Just got my Next Ventrure Motorsports front bumper which I ordered in Bare aluminum ..

Do I need to put any type of clear coat or protectant on it, or can I run it as is ?

Will it start to corrode or anything after a few years ?

Any help appreciated !

Depends on how concerned about appearance you are, and how much you enjoy polishing.

Bare aluminum will take on a weathered, dull appearance over time. But after the initial oxide layer forms, it’s stable. So it will not be gleaming, but it won’t rot away.

Regular polishing can keep it shiny.

Many applications, such as alloy wheels, use clear coat to keep the shine without the elbow grease.
