Let me start off by saying that im no Technical major Lol i know the basics and put this together.
I own a 2019 Rubicon and one of the add ons it didnt come with was the Auxiliary switches in the bottom right corner.
Yeaa you can get the kit online but id rather get an aftermarket switch panels for my lighting , air and other needs.. but i did want to install a switch bank in the pocket from the oem location for my Footwells, Rocklights ect..
So i did some more searching and came across something that caught my eye . It was made by Stech which had 4 halo switches and a carbon fibre housing , it did also come with the other extras such as harness , under the hood power bank ectt but i didnt need those things due to running exterior and interior lighting which is all i wanted to use this switch bank for . Iv posted a pic below showing you of what i was trying to remake.
And also attached images of my journey along the build.
Please share your thoughts and comments and let me know what you guys think. Feel free to ask any questions but please i repeat im no technical major Lmao

So i removed the little container from the dash after pulling apart the climate and window controls. And then traced out the outside shape onto some thin fibre board which helped me make a template .
One i did that i had to measure the inner pocket which i found the easiest way to do was to measure the width in millimeters, for me it came to 4mm around . So i roughly had my shape that i needed to cutout .

My switches i used were 19mm so i was only able to fit 3 , if i was to buy the 16mm switches you could get away with 4 . So now i had to find the middle to space the 3 switches which was pretty easy, just measure and the find the centre points on both side and youll have the middle. Once you do that you can decide where to put the remaining switches.

once you cut out your holes for the switches then you should cut the shape out! Do not cut the shape out first!! LOL i learned the hard way.
After making your template and sanding it down to size and making sure it fits snug you can then decide what material youd like to make the panel out of . I went with a 1/2cm thick abs plastic board which i found at my local hardware store for 7$ .

So now you should have a Switch panel with holes for the switches. i did not use any glue or adhesive it fits snug due to the carbon fibre wrap i added at the end.

Now its time for the switches and wiring.
I used 3 19mm RED Led Halo switches which were 10$ each on Amazon , i went with red cause my sway bar / lockers controls were red so it fits well together but you can probably find other colours online but remember to find a switch with a harness as well!!! Saves you a headache and looks cleaner!

I wanted my led on the switches to turn on only when they are being used but you can wire em in different ways where the led constantly stays on.
Iv uploaded a Diagram below which will help to wire it in the way i did.

So on all three switches i wired the 12v Common together which goes to the battery that is the green wire.
Then i wired the 12v + and N/O which is (normally open) together so i cut down the wires and had them soldered and wrapped in heat shrink , so the red and yellow are together and each end on for the 3 switches will go to ur 12v accessory which in my case are my footwells , rocklights. And now each switch should have a remaining ground / black wire . The white wire which is N/C (normally closed )was not used so i cut that short and adding heatshrink. So now each switch should have a negative a positive wire and you should have a single 12v wire which will be going to a 12v power source and it should be Fused!

If you were to run something with a higher amperage a relay must be used! Such as an air compressor/ light bar ect.. in my case i didnt need one.
You should now be complete at this point , iv wrapped my faceplate in some carbon vinyl for looks and appearance but you could go with what ever you have in mind . Hope this helps! Cheers

I really like it. I did a very similar thing on my RAM for the switches and gauge for an air pump and air bags. People think it is factory. I bet you can fool people with yours.

This is awesome! I have the Aux switches from factory, but would still love to do something like this for any "extras" that may come down the road. Great job!

I know this is an old thread but before I seen this I 3D printed my own panels and caught some attention at local events so I've made a couple of revisions to my own and this is what I've got now.
