I wanted a double heim sway bar end link system fro my JLR but didn't like the pricing or many of the options on the market. They were either very expensive or didn't offer the level of articulation I wanted. Also, why buy something when you can make it your self for twice as much right?!

I wanted a double heim system with a high degree of misalignment because I'd noticed the bushing end of my links were deformed from the level of articulation my Jeep has.

Everything was ordered from Speedway Motors. Here is the recipe if anyone would like it:

Not included the parts list are the eight 1/2" nuts and bolts you will need for mounting the new links to your Jeep...those are pretty damn easy to get though...

You will also need to open the thru holes in the sway bar to 1/2"...this required a quick pass with a 1/2" drill bit...barely any metal was cut.

When building the links I made a jig to be the sure they were all the same length.

UPDATE - I broke a front link at Trail Hero...

I do have some pretty long travel dampers that caused the failure but...

Use part number 91034212-8 to get a 1" longer rod.

What's the extended length of your shocks?

Was going to mention... I also built some links using the same materials you did and broke them as well. I ended up getting some solid aluminum links made to be used with those rod ends

Why not just buy RK endlinks and be done?

What you made is similar to the RKs Iā€™m running. Probably why they made them so beefy, to keep from breaking, lol. I had some guys asking me if the no limits were as good as disconnecting so I did a test.
Thereā€™s essentially no difference hereā€™s pics.

Mine broke because I made them about an inch too short...at full droop the short link allowed the sway bar to swing forward when dropping down from a wall and the link was bent over the drop link, breaking it...The longer link will prevent the hyperextention of the joint...I dropped an extra link in my tool bag incase it happens again...
