Someone had mentioned they were going out of business. Didn't know if this was the last of their inventory or they were just jacking up the price. For that price might as well think about an electric hoist. IMO they are pricing themselves out of the market.

So why not buy a $100 electric hoist from Harbor Freight, and then take these and bolt them together. Get 4 straps or chain cut to length to go from the Hoist to the Rack and boom. Seems they would make a pretty decent rack. All of it for around $150. That is if you wanted something like the Racor.

So I've finished my lift and storage rack. All in all I think the hardest part was figuring our how to install the soft top.

I love the design. Really simple and practical for storing your top and other items if you wanted. How comfortable are you with your straps and the releases? Do you feel they’ll hold okay?

So far I am feeling good. I hung from them and I am 250lbs, so the top is much less. I did go out to check those straps and eyelets a few times last night and this morning though. The best part is since I have 10 foot ceilings, I can walk under the rack without hitting my head at 6’1”.

The racor lift is nice. I removed the plastic Pullies and put metal ones in. If someone wants to do this. Here is the part. Fits the bolt nicely. You will have to add washers to keep it centered. I also added safety chains for when the top is stored for the summer. Storing the soft top up there right now. I may try and figure out how to add a motor to later this summer.

I installed the Racor hoist and Topsy products (cable cams, brackets, and straps) over the weekend. I haven’t had my roof on since I installed the hoist. It’s a great addition to the garage!

I recently purchased the Freedom-Jack, to use with my shop crane.
I do not have a garage, so this works out great. Plus I still have the option to use my shop crane for other jobs. Not just lifting my top.
Do you happen to have the head liners by chance? Particularly wondering if the freedom jack rests against them and would deform them over time.

I do have the headliners. Dale, the owner, has addressed the headliner issue to my satisfaction. There is ultimately going to be some small amount of contact, but it is minimal, especially when you pay attention to how the hard top rests on the jack. The rear window seal was also a concern for me. That has been addressed as well. I will post a few pictures for you this weekend.

@RAZA I put the pool noodles on for my personal satisfaction. The support rods come with rubber covers to prevent dings etc.
All the yellow is a rubberized paint.
I don't have a concrete pad or a garage. So, as long as I am careful and mindful of positioning, and balance, it works really well. Takes me about 20-30 minutes to do it myself, from start with unbolting the top, removing doors and then pulling top off.
