Discrete side lighting

I'm considering adding some interior mounted side lights to be used while camping and navigating the woods at night. Does anyone have any experience using clear / white surface mount emergency lights in their rear side windows? I wondering if they would be effective going through the dark tint. I like the idea of them being discrete, and nothing showing on the exterior.

I'm specifically considering the Feniex Fusion SM (white), using a window mount with 3M tape. I would mount them high, directly behind the front seats in my 2 door. I plan to use the auxillary switches to power them.

For now, I've installed a side floodlight. There is relection, but I'm going to build something to direct more out the window. I will test it out for a bit, and do the left if I'm satisfied.
