how do you do it and escape setting codes?

i spoke with the guy who does the Z programmer, and he said it's possible, but he won't incorporate it in his widget, for liability reasons.... so how do i specifically disable the passenger side airbag?

thanks in advance

Planning an elaborate crash where the passenger is offed?
no, that wasn't my first choice. airbags are gonna make a
difference. not so much with 4 point sparco harnesses, or
even with a 3 point shoulder and lap belt. with the shoulder
harness locked, reaching the dash with your face isn't a
great possibility.

there is an ipad mounted with a 67 mount between the
air vents on the passenger side, horizontally, running gaia.

if the bag fires, the passenger will eat it. that is why.
besides, both of us wear glasses, so airbags are more of a risk
than a help. side bags would be a help, but jeep doesn't do those.

i'd rather not have the bags at all.

Got ya. Yea, the mounting of a tablet in front of an air bag is not ideal. I had an airbag go off in my Frontier one time. I banged someone from behind in the rain. Put a quarter sized divet in the lower part of my bumper. This must have been right on the sensor. The bags went off, the seat belt locks engaged. This was over $5k in damage. If the bags had not gone off, I would have just ignored the little bumper dent. Other guys car was fine.

The air bag did hit me square in the chest. I don't know if they will really hit you in the face. I know it hammered me though. I am a big guy and can take a hit but my chest did hurt!

yeah. a lot of cars have a key switch to disable the passenger airbag so that it doesn't hurt kids.
but jeep saved $4 by deleting this functionality.

i can unplug stuff, but it'll light up everything. the sensor is almost always mounted under the passenger seat.

i'm also looking at putting a legitimate class 3 hitch on the back, instead of the silly little thing
they thought was good enough, and a magnusen supercharger. but those will be separate threads....
