Ok, I am searching through the menus and can’t find where to turn off the nice lady that tells me the speed limit. I looked for a thread and could not find one.
I feel like a dunce. Don’t see it in the manual.

This makes me glad I have the 7" screen. It doesn't seem to have this kind of nonsense as an option.

That may be true. I'm not an audiophile so the 7" does everything I need it to, but I have heard good things about the 8.4"

From the Navigation page touch Nav Settings, then speed limit, then see if the announce speed limit warning box is checked. If so, uncheck the announce speed limit warning box. If it’s not that then I am not sure.

The 8.4" and Alpine for $1,200 is very well worth it, IMO. Love mine.

Not sure if it's an 8.4" Nav feature only or if available with the 7", but if you go to Nav -> Where To, you can select "Trails" and it will record your trip so that you can find your way back. Cool feature.

Thank you all
im referring to the warning voice of the current speed limit which sounds when I am over the limit by about 5mph. It happens whether or not I’m in Nav mode. I’ll check the suggestion from mcj.

Are you serious? Your jeep bitches at you for going 5 mph over the speed limit? If I want to get bitched at while driving, I'll just take my wife. I already pay for that subscription.

By the way, if Jeep does that for 5 over this would pop up on my screen when driving around the DC Beltway....

It is better than Ford's mkey speed limiter than many rental cars companies put on. It dings at 75 and limits the speed to 80mph. It sucks when your on a 70, 75mph or 80mph speed limit road and just want to do 5 mph over the speed limit.

Sounds more like a phone app? I know my jeep has never given any speed warning.

Are you connected via Carplay or androidAuto and maybe your phones map is performing this alert?

No, it's the jeep. The original owner turned it on. Factory default is off.

Holy cow, that's a lot of moaning over an option that can be disabled (and off by default). It's also adjustable so you can set what speed you want to hear a warning. I drive at 5 over speed limit, so I set it to 10 over. It's a bit agressive sometimes, but i just taunt her back for a laugh. Sometimes she catches a speed change i didn't see (like driving though rural towns) and i appreciate the heads up. I got a speeding ticket in Ely, NV for that very thing in my old car. I like having the option.

I'm the original owner, maybe the selling dealer turned it on.
I'm looking for how to turn it off or modify it, I'm not finding anything in the manual or in any of the screens. Most of our speed limits here on Maui are 45 mph with a few 55 spots, not worth accelerating for. The rest are 20 to 30.
