Diminished Value from an accident

I had a young teenager run into my parked Ram 1500 truck this afternoon doing a considerable amount of damage. The truck is a 2016 in excellent shape with only 16,000 miles. She hit it so hard she pushed it nearly twenty feet. There is damage on the driver side bed, passenger cab and rear passenger door. The wheel is destroyed and looks that it pushed the axle out of alignment.

Looking for advice from anyone who has pursued diminished value on their vehicle. What are the correct procedures I should follow with the other person’s insurance provider? Is there a formula for figuring diminished value that I should reference?
