I did do a search on here but didn't see anything. I googled and found a few people who had the same problem. My auto start stop quit working a few months back but I don't like that option anyway so I haven't done anything to it. Anyway, I don't know if the two problems are connected or not. That was an issue on the 2018s a while back. A software update took care of it on mine. I donāt remember the details but can try to look it up for you if you havenāt had it done.

This is the software update I had done. It was primarily to fix the GPS location but it also fixed my compass. Maybe it will help. That was an issue on the 2018s a while back. Hello everyone,
We believe there is a TSB out right now that will remedy this concern with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto providing the incorrect GPS location.

If your ESS is no longer working (start/stop) you may have a battery issue. The ESS no longer working is a good indicator of that. If ignored could mean more problems later, including getting stuck with a Jeep that won't start. Lots of info in this forum about it.I did do a search on here but didn't see anything. I googled and found a few people who had the same problem. My auto start stop quit working a few months back but I don't like that option anyway so I haven't done anything to it. Which head unit do you have? My wife's JL has the 7" radio, and I've never noticed a problem with that one. The 5" in my JL is another story though - I think I've reprogrammed it 2 or 3 times in the last few years because it gets confused. As the title states my Compass is confused. I just noticed it today. I have a 2018 Jeep Wrangler unlimited sport JL. Has anyone had this happen?

@KatBot, (Kathy),There is a way to calibrate it by driving around in a circle, it worked for my 5". Check your owners manual.
