Different factory back bumpers?

Anyone have any idea why there are two different back bumpers? Mine doesn’t have reflectors in the middle and others do. At first I thought JLs with the LED lights had the reflectors but I’ve seen some non-LED models with them.

I don’t think that’s it as they’re on models other than Rubicon, in addition to Rubicon.

Agree - this is 2 Sahara’s with plastic bumpers and my Rubi with steel, all have reflectors, and all LED

Reflectors on bumper are part of the safety group, includes Parksense, etc

Mine has reflectors, but I don’t have safety group. Rubicon with steel and leds.

I thought that at first too, but that’s not it either.

I suspect it’s the “Injection Molded” (with reflectors) vs the “Molded”

But, I can’t find a way to add the Injection in the build app online.
Still the only bumper difference I see.

Steel bumpers are an option for Rubicon. They are also available in the performance catalog. The three-piece front steel bumper is $1000. (The steel front skid plate is required). The steel rear bumper will be available soon through the catalog as well.

They are still coming to the dealer shops with both style plastic bumpers. The dealer in Hickory can’t even answer this question. I’d like to keep my factory rear bumper and add some flush aux lights. There are options for this if your bumper has reflectors. Not so much if it is with out.

The skin of the plastic bumper is super easy to seperate and cut. Just do that?

as said above...Sport S gets the reflectors when you add Safety Group (parking sensors). Standard blow molded bumper is replaced with injection molded bumper that has the reflectors
