I used brackets from rough country ($20 You get two brackets, one for each side.. think twin antennas) for LEDs below windshield. It works well on the JL. Only mod was to make the 3/8 hole in the bracket that held the light 1/2 inch. Then run the coax into the car. The pathway into the car is right below the windshield all the way to the right. There is a rubber patch that you can penetrate to enter the car. That is all there is to it. Works great. Using 2 foot firestik with spring (due to garage height) and a barrel coax connection underneath the bracket. I did add a 1/8 inch washer under the spacer they provide to giver greater clearance for the coax connector. But it works like a champ. SWR 1.3. (first pass) Longer antenna better SWA??? . I have 18 foot of coax but I am thinking of cutting it to 9 ft. I have been told length doesn't matter when dealing with COAX. (I know everyone has a different opinion) That is why I am only thinking about cutting it.
