I have a 2018 Sport S that did not come with the tow package. I’m wanting to instal a receiver to move around trailers on my property (boat trailers) to launch jet skis and pontoons off my beach (not tow down the road). I’m looking at Quadratec and see two Mopar options. One is $75, one is over $200. Aside from the less expensive one not coming with bolts (which quadratec sells for $25), and the rubber receiver cap….is there any difference? The $75 “replacement” receiver looks to have all 4 nuts welded on it, while the “new kit” has loose nuts.

Is Mopar inflating the cost of the “new kit” to, for the lack of a better term ‘punish’ those that did not order the tow package while charging a reasonable price for a replacement part? Or am I missing something bigger here? Neither come with a harness.

When I put mine on I couldn’t see any difference other than those you noted. I went the less expensive route. Got bolts at local hardware store and called it good. No issues with mine.
